Annual Occupational Safety Awards - A Must for your Health & Safety Calendar 2009

The National Irish Safety Organisation / Northern Ireland Safety Group (NISO / NISG) Awards Scheme is now well recognised and is supported by the Construction Industry Federation. The awards scheme has been running for 18 years and has seen many innovations reflected in constant growth in the number of entries over those years. 
 
The award headings capture the best standards and practices in modern day health and safety management systems and procedures. The Award scheme gives entrants the opportunity to include in their submissions areas where they can demonstrate ‘Superior Performance’ in the operation of health and safety management practice. The awards ceremony will take place in the Breaffy house Resort in Castlebar Co. Mayo on the 24th. September 2009.The deadline for applications this year is Friday 1st. May 2009.

Is Your Site Ready For 6th July 2009?

The July 6th deadline is looming for the new mandatory CSCS courses under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2006. From July 2009 individuals who are working in the following occupational categories will be legally required to hold a FAS CSCS Registration card.
